For the first time in Italy, Eufonica hosts a section entirely dedicated to Spanish lutherie, bringing to Bologna the excellence of Iberian classical and flamenco guitar making.
From 15 to 17 May, at Hall 33 of BolognaFiere, the great Spanish school of guitar making will take centre stage in a unique exhibition created in collaboration with Seiscuerdas, a leading reference in classical guitar culture. A high-profile event that builds a direct bridge between Spanish lutherie tradition and the Italian guitar community, offering professionals, teachers, conservatory students and industry operators a valuable opportunity for technical, artistic and cultural exchange.
An immersive experience that connects craftsmanship and concert performance, tradition and contemporary research.
Spain represents one of the most authoritative historical centres in the development of the modern classical guitar. Its lutherie school has influenced generations of makers and performers, playing a decisive role in the technical and tonal evolution of the instrument. This exhibition marks a first for Italy: a rare opportunity to compare different master luthiers within a single context and discover up close the craftsmanship that has shaped the history of the guitar.
Some of the most important contemporary Spanish luthiers will be present:
Also participating is RC Strings, an internationally recognised Spanish guitar string manufacturer and a symbol of Iberian technical and tonal tradition.
The section is conceived as a true listening and learning laboratory, where each visitor will be able to:
The exhibition connects craftsmanship and performance, technique and musical sensitivity. The presence of both classical and flamenco instruments allows visitors to explore the two souls of the Spanish guitar, observing how the hand of the luthier and the sensitivity of the musician come together to create unique instruments, each with its own distinct sonic identity.
An event designed for professional guitarists, teachers, students and industry operators seeking in-depth knowledge, professional development and high-level exchange.
