Home News Artisan lutherie and new Made in Italy skills at Eufonica 2026

Eufonica is taking part today in the press conference promoted by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, dedicated to initiatives that enhance the country’s productive and cultural excellence. The event serves as a lead-up to the National Made in Italy Day, scheduled for April 15, 2026. It is also an opportunity to anticipate some of the themes that will be central to this edition of Eufonica, taking place at BolognaFiere from May 15 to 17.

Among them is the role of artisan lutherie as a cultural and professional heritage to be passed on to new generations of professionals. This topic will be explored during the meeting “Artisan Lutherie: training new skills for Made in Italy”, scheduled for Friday, May 15 at 10:30 a.m. at BolognaFiere, promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region in collaboration with Eufonica by BolognaFiere and Assimusica.

The event will bring together schools, academies, master luthiers and young talents to reflect on the future of lutherie between tradition and innovation. During the meeting, the first edition of the International Lutherie Competition “Luigi Mozzani” will also be presented, dedicated to classical guitar, ukulele and mandolin, and designed to support and highlight the new generation of instrument makers.

The program will conclude with a musical moment featuring the acoustic testing of instruments built by young luthiers, a living expression of the continuity and evolution of Italian musical craftsmanship.
