At Eufonica 2026, “Matrilineare”: a new narrative of female songwriting

Home News At Eufonica 2026, “Matrilineare”: a new narrative of female songwriting

On Friday, May 15 at 5:00 PM, Eufonica will host the talk “Towards a possible history of female songwriting”, dedicated to the presentation of the book Matrilineare by Piergiorgio Pardo, published by minimum fax.

The book offers a reinterpretation of Italian female songwriting as a collective narrative, built through the voices of artists from its origins to the most recent generations. A journey that explores transformations, critical issues and new perspectives, placing the contribution of women at the center of the contemporary music scene.

Joining the author in conversation will be Any Other (Adele Altro), singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist among the most interesting voices of the current scene, who will share her artistic experience along with a short acoustic live performance. Her path includes collaborations with Colapesce and Dimartino, and a body of work that blends languages and diverse sensibilities.

Introduced by Giordano Sangiorgi, the event is part of Eufonica’s program as a space for dialogue on musical languages and transformations, and as an opportunity to reflect on the role and history of Italian female artists, with a focus on social and cultural dynamics across generations.
