Eufonica 2026 Comes to a Close: Over 15,000 Attendees Across Music, Education, Innovation and Live Shows
The 2026 edition of Eufonica has officially come to an end. Organized in collaboration with MEI - Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti and held alongside Guitar Show 2026, the event transformed BolognaFiere for three days into a vibrant ecosystem dedicated to music, education, musical instruments, craftsmanship, innovation and the entertainment professions.
With 15,452 attendees, more than 450 exhibitors, over 300 events, and participants arriving from all over Italy and 28 countries worldwide, the 2026 edition confirmed the steady growth of the event and its increasingly central role within both the Italian and international music landscape.
Among the major new additions this year was the debut of the Drum Show, the new area entirely dedicated to drums and percussion, featuring a large exhibition space alongside concerts, demos, masterclasses and live talks. The area also hosted the second edition of the Dom Famularo Memorial Day, the event dedicated to one of the most influential figures in music education and modern drumming, curated by Massimo Russo. The stage welcomed some of the most important international drummers and music educators, including Thomas Lang, Claus Hessler, Riccardo Merlini and Vera Figueiredo, together with leading names from the Italian scene and digital creators such as Andrea Marchese, Roberto Gualdi, Corrado Bertonazzi, Dario Capacci, Elisa Fellegara, Massimo Russo himself and many others. The initiative concluded with the grand finale of the Dom Famularo Drum Contest, open to drummers of all ages, whose winners will have the opportunity to attend the Drum Camp with Simon Phillips and perform on stage during the next edition of the Memorial Day.
With more than 300 events including talks, workshops, concerts, showcases, demos and professional meetings, Eufonica further strengthened its role as a platform dedicated to the entire music industry ecosystem. Spaces and initiatives dedicated to craftsmanship, emerging talents, film music, vinyl culture, music professions and much more ensured that no corner of the music industry was overlooked during this edition of the Salone.
Particular attention was given to cultural work and artists’ rights through a series of meetings organized together with MEI, involving institutional and political figures such as Nicola Zingaretti, Matteo Orfini and the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Michele De Pascale. Discussions focused on topics including fair compensation for artists and the protection of music clubs as cultural spaces. There was also strong participation in workshops and meetings promoted by INDIRE, SIEM and the University of Bologna, as well as in panels dedicated to cultural welfare, creator economy, guidance and professional training. The event also gave ample space to musical instruments, lutherie and Made in Italy craftsmanship, with dedicated areas for master luthiers, classical and flamenco guitar, and new international projects connected to instrument making.
Among the most appreciated projects of the 2026 edition were Guitar Week, created together with the “G.B. Martini” Conservatory and involving the Conservatories of Terni and Alessandria; the international lutherie area Seiscuerdas; the Vinyl Experience; activities dedicated to independent production together with MEI; and the rich program of live performances and showcases across the many stages of the event.
For three days, Bologna became a meeting point for musicians, professionals, schools, universities, companies, creators, students and music lovers, giving life to a vibrant, cross-disciplinary and increasingly international community.
A clear demonstration of how important spaces are today where music can be experienced as a collective practice and a tool for connection.
