Eufonica 2026: MEI programme presented in Bologna
The press day promoted by MEI – Meeting of Independent Labels took place on Friday, April 3 in Bologna, offering an opportunity for media and industry professionals to discover the content of the collaboration with Eufonica 2026.
From May 15 to 17 at BolognaFiere, Eufonica will host three days dedicated to independent music, developed together with MEI and a network of cultural and professional partners. A comprehensive programme connecting artistic production, education and market dynamics, confirming the event as a key meeting point for the entire music supply chain. As highlighted during the meeting, Eufonica is increasingly positioning itself as a space where independent music becomes both artistic expression, education and professional opportunity, strengthening the dialogue between creativity and market.
The MEI programme will bring concerts, DJ sets, talks and in-depth sessions to the fair, with an opening focus on the 20th anniversary of Bologna UNESCO City of Music and the independent rock scene that shaped the city’s history. Alongside this, there will be space for emerging talents, discussions on artists’ rights and key transformations within the sector. The Main Stage will host some of the most significant moments, including Indie Power – the largest DJ set dedicated to independent music – alongside live performances, showcases and events spanning different generations and musical languages. There will also be a strong focus on conferences and panels addressing key topics such as work in the music industry, the impact of artificial intelligence and the social value of festivals, as well as awards, contests and special projects.
The collaboration with MEI further strengthens Eufonica’s role as a platform connecting education, production and the music industry, expanding the dialogue with the independent music scene. Discover the full programme and all updates at eufonica.it.
As Barbara Laurini, Exhibition Manager of Eufonica, states: “Eufonica is a space where independent music is not only an artistic scene, but also a cultural enterprise, education and a professional future, bringing together creativity, skills and market.”
On the same line, Giordano Sangiorgi, founder of MEI, adds: “We are proud to be partners of this fair: we will start from the 20th anniversary of Bologna UNESCO City of Music, highlighting the independent rock scene and connecting it with today’s indie music, through live events, talks and insights on key topics for the sector.”
