EUFONICA x Fonoprint: The history of Bologna’s music scene meets the future of production
Fonoprint and Eufonica 2026 join forces in a collaboration that places music at the center as an ecosystem: education, production, and professional growth.
Founded in Bologna in 1976, Fonoprint has been one of the symbolic places of Italian record production for nearly fifty years. From collaborations with iconic artists such as Lucio Dalla and Vasco Rossi to contemporary productions, the studio now represents a concrete bridge between tradition and innovation: a space where established professionals and new generations of artists and producers coexist.
During the days of the fair, Fonoprint will take center stage with a dedicated stand, where visitors will be able to experience immersive tours through 3D headsets of the Fonoprint studios, alongside a program of activities reflecting all facets of the studio. The program develops along two main directions.
On one side, the educational and professional dimension: talks and meetings with former students and key figures connected to Fonoprint, in-depth sessions on music production and creative processes, and discussions on specific fields such as writing for film and audiovisual media, in collaboration with realities such as Lunar Collective.
On the other, music as a direct experience: concerts and showcases spanning genres and languages, bringing into dialogue artists connected to the studio’s history with new voices from the contemporary scene. Among the featured artists are experimental composer Leonardo Melchionda, singer-songwriter Sofia di Vaio, and DJ MØRS.
The collaboration also extends beyond the fair, becoming part of the Eufonica Off program and strengthening its connection with the city of Bologna. The public will be able to take part in guided tours inside the Fonoprint studios, meet historic producers, and enjoy an immersive experience through the 3D visit to the Fonoprint Music Museum: a virtual journey that tells the story behind the creation of some of the most iconic songs in Italian music.
A project that connects memory and contemporaneity, education and industry, confirming Eufonica as a platform capable of linking all dimensions of the music supply chain.
