Eufonica and MEI: Three Days at the Heart of Independent Music

On the occasion of its fourth edition, Eufonica strengthens its collaboration with MEI – Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti, bringing three days entirely dedicated to independent music to Bologna, featuring live performances, DJ sets, professional meetings, contests and educational sessions.

The Main Stage will host Indie Power, the largest indie DJ set in Italy, alongside live performances by Not Moving, Gaznevada, Pesissimi and several guests from the Bologna music scene, in a tribute to the city’s musical history. Sunday’s closing event will be the Memento 20 Years Block Party, celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the label founded by Idriss D. Emerging artists will also take center stage throughout the event.

Alongside live music, a rich program of conferences, panels and professional talks will explore key industry topics including live performance, cultural work, artificial intelligence, artists’ rights and the social value of festivals. Awards and recognitions will be presented to leading figures and historic labels in the independent music sector. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will also find showcases dedicated to indie culture, from 1980s fanzines to vinyl artwork, as well as special projects and contests such as the CIAO Contest, a songwriting workshop led by Roberta Giallo and the first Woman DJ MEI Battle.

With MEI, Eufonica further reinforces its role as a national platform where creativity, education and the music market come together, placing the entire independent music ecosystem at the center.
