The Master’s Degree in Performing Arts Entrepreneurship of the University of Bologna, now in its 25th edition, will be featured at Eufonica 2026 as part of the collaboration between MEI – Meeting of Independent Labels and Eufonica. This first-level university Master’s programme trains managers and professionals in the live performance sector, equipping them with the skills to design, manage and promote events, festivals and cultural programmes in both public and private contexts.

The course integrates humanities and technical–managerial competencies, with advanced training in project management, fundraising and sponsorships, communication and marketing, production, distribution and programming across theatre, dance and music. The programme has a strong practical and professional focus, combining 240 hours of lectures and 80 hours of seminars and workshops, and is completed with a 500-hour curricular internship at leading organisations and institutions in the sector, or with an equivalent project work. The course concludes with a final examination.

The Master maintains an active dialogue with the live performance system and promotes collaborations with festivals, theatres and cultural institutions. As part of the Eufonica 2026 programme, within the framework of the collaboration between MEI and Eufonica, a lecture by Giordano Sangiorgi is scheduled, focusing on the independent music market in Italy today, addressing all its key aspects: from production to distribution, from promotion to communication, from live performance to rights management. On 15 May 2026, an additional introductory meeting will be held to present the full Eufonica programme and key participants, followed by a guided tour for students of the University of Bologna’s Master’s programme, organised in collaboration with MEI and Guitar Show, within the fourth edition of Eufonica.
